whipped cream on the big red ball
no this is not some kind of kinky porn entry. sorry. but it's simply me being surprised at the fact that i no longer surprise people.
enter my world on a monday morning.
scene- sitting at my desk with a can of whipped cream and a spoon, drinking diet dr. pepper out of a vintage seltzer bottle and bopping along to jamie cullum's rendition of "frontin" on my hot pink ipod that's sticking out of my pants while sitting on a big red ball. why is there an ipod in my pants you may be wondering? well my gauchos don't have pockets and the little belt clippy thing broke off the iskin a few months back. so yeah, in my pants. good times.
this is the new normal. no one has even looked at me funny.
then again devoted blog fans, aka the only ones who read this, aka:
jenn who has lived with me for a number of years and has experienced the "jenn's room long-jump" event, the "what is andrea cooking/eating" game, and the "will this make it into the trash" incident.
oh and dave who has spent long nights with me in the basement of schwab and the boal barn (painting people, painting!) as well as countless theme parties, including but not limited to the pajama party, heaven and hell, latino heat, highlighter madness, make-out or get-out, and the white house party. but who unfortunately missed such debauchorama as the white trash party, the wild wild west party, and the mock frat party at “zeta zeta double delta!”
well and then there's marie, who i haven't seen in over seven years, but who has know me since what, second grade or something embarrassingly long like that, and saw me go through the awkward stage i call um, since 2nd grade.
...none of this would astonish you kids either.
ok, take back said comment about whipped cream. apparently it isn't mere presence of the big red can on my desk that turns heads but that certain "shxhchhhh" noise it makes that tends to turns heads. really christa just looked excited too see if there was ice cream in the equation. sorry cj, not today. and as it turns out not on free cone day either! the bastards at ben & jerry's in forrestal "won't be participating" this year. what a crock.
on a side note (can their really be a side note in this huge pile of miscellany?) it's black and blue day at the office with the vast majority of people wearing some form of blue shirt and black pant... we spend entirely way too much time together.
office quote of the moment (and by moment i mean back in december but it was on a sticky that was stuck to the side of my monitor so i hadn't seen it for a while):
kevin: i'm a special kind of stupid.
in regards to dropping the broken projection screen and fixing it! go team go.
happy hoodie monday?

Yeah ... I think the most surprising part about that whole story is that you were wearing gaucho pants. Ewwww. I guess you can get away with those when you're 5'10"
5'-11" thank you very much!
Yeah, the most surprising part of that was the consumption of Dr. Pepper. What ever happened to to the Pepsi One? :-P
sorta o-deed when i was finishing my thesis...
